Transformation Consultant

• Our client is a large scale UK consultancy working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Change and Software Engineering.
• The successful candidate will employ agile solutions to contribute to a stronger and more cost-effective defence agenda, without sacrificing the overall mission of organisations.
• You will need to have experience with successfully delivering transformation projects within Defence and National Security.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site with some travel UK wide as required.

• Assist with the design, development and transformation of major programmes, including programme strategy and set up, programme / portfolio delivery, capability and digital transformation, and assurance reviews.
• Contribute to client projects including development of engagement plans, production of deliverables, change management activities, and workshop/meeting facilitation across a wide range of propositions, including:
  • Operating Model design and implementation.
  • Project Controls Transformation.
  • Programme Governance.
  • Project Management Office setup and maintenance.
  • Capability Development.
  • Digital Transformation.
• Support progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.
• Support the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.
• Support the development of our client’s propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.

• Industry knowledge, trends and insights in large-scale programmes, bringing lessons learnt and insights to clients and the wider group.
• Proven experience working in one or more areas within Defence, Security and Justice.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering on projects associated with programmes through either working for an organisation operating in one of the above sectors, or for a management consulting or professional services firm.
• Commercial awareness around infrastructure ownership and project delivery (e.g. supply chain challenges, risks and controls, incentivisation) and engagement management (including bidding, performance management etc.).
• Ability to present to client/stakeholders at all levels in an organisation.
• Problem solving, attention to details, creative thinking and analytical skills.
• Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams, and fast-paced project environments.
• Self-starting with high degree of personal motivation and drive.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form lasting relationships with both team members and clients.
