Our client is looking for a Subcontracts Manager in Manufacturing to take ownership of product build planning and subcontractor management at their Hampshire site. You'll be the central point of contact between production, supply chain, engineering, and programme management, keeping everything on track and delivered on time. Working Patterns and location – 4 days per week on site
Key responsibilities
· Plan product build demands in collaboration with Production Planners and Project Managers.
· Raise and manage external build requirements with subcontractors to achieve OTIF delivery.
· Interpret ERP/MRP requirements and drive timely subcontractor order placement.
· Monitor job status and performance, identifying issues early and driving mitigations.
· Liaise with Engineering and Project Management to ensure compliance with change notices and build configurations.
· Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure purchase requisitions are raised and materials delivered on time.
· Plan and manage subcontractor capacity to meet production programme requirements.
· Drive supplier improvement plans in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain.
Skills & experience
· Extensive experience in a manufacturing planning or supply chain environment.
· Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP tools and how to drive planning through them.
· Proven experience liaising and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
· Ability to manage supplier delivery plans and hold vendors to account on OTIF commitments.
· Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
· Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities under pressure.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-motivated approach.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
· Experience working in electronics or electromechanical assembly environments.
· Familiarity with IFS as an ERP platform.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
· CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain qualification.
· Degree qualified in a relevant engineering, operations, or supply chain discipline.
