Our client is working on complex Engineering projects within the Nuclear and Defence industry.
You must be very experienced using Primavera P6 and have extensive experience within Nuclear/Defence to be considered for this role.
Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days on site per week.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and set up schedules including defining work breakdown structure.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Manage forecast updates which involves collecting and verifying update information from internal and external stakeholders/suppliers.
- Ensure forecasts align with both P6 planning standards of the organisation and master timeline.
- Create and maintain baseline schedules.
- Develop and build the baseline with the project team to deliver the agreed requirements.
- Manage change of requirements through the change process and develop what-if schedules and impact analysis.
- Create and present reports to key stakeholders, providing key data inputs into team progress meetings, monthly programme review board etc.
- Support the development of the wider planner community within the team.
- Use knowledge and experience from previous roles to add value to the programme and the planning community.
Skills & experience
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience, in a senior role, of delivery within significant and/or complex projects or programmes.
- Conducting independent reviews.
- Using and examining schedules within P6 Primavera.
- Able to deliver potentially difficult messages to senior management.
- Providing objective & evidence-based areas of improvement.
- Clear and concise report writing.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Experience in nuclear and/or defence sector.
- Working in environment of nuclear regulation.
- 10 years’ experience in relevant work.
- Experience working with government agencies / department / processes.
