Our client is looking for a Project Manager with a Management Consultancy background to join their Secure Government division, helping public sector clients get the most out of digital transformation. Working Patterns and location – Fully on site
Key responsibilities
· Lead and manage defined work packages and small-to-medium projects end to end.
· Ensure delivery meets agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.
· Work directly with client stakeholders to shape and improve delivery approaches.
· Identify, manage and mitigate risks and dependencies across delivery activities.
· Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes on time.
· Analyse project performance data and produce clear, insightful reporting.
· Support continuous improvement and guide team activity across workstreams.
· Build client confidence and represent the consultancy's transformation practice.
Skills & experience
· Proven experience delivering projects or work packages in Agile or structured environments.
· Strong leadership of diverse technical specialists across complex supply chains.
· Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget and quality to meet client expectations.
· Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
· Confidence analysing project data and presenting findings clearly to senior audiences.
· Strong facilitation skills across workshops, meetings and delivery sessions.
· Ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies and implement mitigations.
· Commercial awareness of project financials, contracts and supply chain considerations.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
· Experience working within a management consultancy or professional services environment.
· Background supporting digital transformation programmes in secure government or public sector.
· APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management qualification.
· Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.
