Software Engineer

Our client are working on some new and exciting projects within the Defence sector. They are looking for a Software Engineer with Embedded software experience with Rust or C++.

You will be working on optimising code for performance, efficiency and reliability whilst having experience working on mission critical applications.

Working Patterns and location – This role is predominantly remote with travel to Wiltshire a couple times a month.

• Design, develop and implement software un Rust or C++ for embedded operating systems.
• Write scripts for automation in Python or Bash to test and optimise system operations.
• Collaborate in code reviews. You will be debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure all systems are clean to deliver high quality software.
• Contribute to technical documentation and provide support for integration activities.
• Communicate effectively within the team.

• Strong experience in Rust or C++, specifically for embedded operating systems.
• Proficient in Python or Bash.
• Previous experience working on complex software systems.
• Able to work across the whole software development lifecycle.
