Agile Management of a project to the Army to define the requirements for Land ISTAR.  Project will be run direct to Army HQ covering 4 epics each with 3 Sprints which will require definition, management and reporting.  PM will fulfil normal project activities as well as managing the supply chain.

Key responsibilities
  • Internal management of the team (including suppliers) including scheduling and reporting.
  • Working with the Customer PMO on the management and reporting on the Epics and Sprints.
  • On-boarding of Suppliers and agreement
Skills & experience
  • Agile Programme Management – Project will be run on a series of Epics and Sprints that will need to be facilitated, linking to the Customer PMO (probably JIRA)
  • Linking to and working with Customer PMs and PMO
  • Supplier Management – working with the Communications Lead and Procurement to schedule and control the input from Suppliers
  • A proven and successful background in project management. With a broad range of management and project/programme management skills. An in-depth knowledge of at least one relevant business sector. May be a noted expert in a particular functional or industry sector area.
  • Consulting experience with major clients on client sites and has experience in either public or private sector.
  • APMP, Prince2 or MSP qualified
  • Demonstrable experience of working on projects and assignments, with evidence of responsibility to deliver in time pressured and complex technical or intense stakeholder environments.
  • Experience at leading large Projects or Portfolio of Projects on behalf of the client, often mentoring client staff.
  • Experience and delivery of the processes and products involved in successful project planning and implementation.
  • Demonstrating adaptability in the application of standard management frameworks, managing multiple stakeholders and building relationships.
  • Commercial skills with a proven understanding of bidding and contract management / award. Experience of investment appraisals, business case development and supplier management.  
  • Problem identification, report writing, recommending actions working knowledge of financial processes and ability to report financial data would be advantageous.
