Programme Manager

Introduction

Our client is providing software and cyber services to National Security clients and are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead as they continue to build their relationship and cement themselves as a trusted partner.

You will have experience in this space, ideally having worked on technical projects before.

WOrking Patterns: This role is based predominantly on site with some flexibility depending on projects. Our client does also offer a 4-day working week by working a compressed 37.5 hour week.

Key responsibilities
  • As Programme Manager, you will play a key role in shaping high-profile technical programmes within IT and Cyber.
  • You will work to manage customer relationships and establish our client as a trusted partner.
  • Align our client’s offering with evolving customer needs, growing the portfolio.
  • Lead and design and implementation of key portfolio, programme and project management frameworks.
  • Manage large and complex programmes ensuring portfolio dashboards monitor risk, performance and schedules.
  • Maintain governance framework throughout projects and programmes.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks in order to develop strategies for key projects.
  • Uphold excellent stakeholder relations with senior level stakeholders to provide P3M methodologies.
Skills & experience
  • Deep knowledge of the National Security community and their operational needs.
  • Excitement to work with our client as they reestablish themselves as a ‘Prime’.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate second-order consequences and plan effectively.
  • Experience managing technical projects (ideally software or cyber).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
