Introduction

Our client is looking for a number of Programme Management Consultants to join their Consultancy team to work on Critical National Infrastructure projects and programmes, with a push towards a Net Zero Carbon future!

 

You will be responsible for setting up, assessing and transforming some of the largest and complex programmes to help influence and deliver alongside our major clients.

 

This practice is currently experiencing a high level of growth so this is a really exciting time to join and develop your career! You must have consultancy experience for this role.

 

Working Patterns – 2 – 3 days per week on client site or in a local office. Some travel will be expected UK wide.

Key responsibilities

The Key Responsibilities of a Programme Management Consultant:

 

    • Work hand in hand with clients in the Critical National Infrastructure space to understand their challenges and transform their projects and programmes.
    • Work across the programme lifecycle to setup and deliver within major transformational projects/programmes and PMOs.
    • Assess and assure programmes, PMOs and project controls capabilities and maturity.
    • Develop and document effective processes and guidance for programme teams and PMOs.
    • Deliver or support the delivery of strategic advisory services including business transformations, organisation design, portfolio design and management, improving programme efficiencies and performance, etc.
    • Communicate closely with stakeholders to understand their projects and facilitate workshops.
Skills & experience
    • Experience in a Consulting role within a similar sector (Nuclear, Aviation, Defence, Water, Transportation, Power and Energy).
    • Demonstrable experience of working on a transformation or change programme with significant impact.
    • High personal motivation and drive to deliver high quality advice/solutions in complex and ever-changing environments.
    • Able to build lasting relationships with clients and wider team members alike.
    • Hold relevant certifications such as APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.
