Programme Manager

Our consultancy client is at the forefront of helping secure organisations get the most out of digital transformation and operational change.

You’ll be working on complex and mission critical digital programmes or portfolios for secure government clients.

You should have experience running large scale programmes and be comfortable running governance forums, managing risk registers and dependency maps, engaging confidently with senior leaders, and keeping complex delivery on track.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3-4 days per week onsite.

·        Coordinate and oversee delivery of multiple related digital and technology projects for secure government clients.

·        Ensure all workstreams collectively achieve agreed strategic outcomes and benefits.

·        Manage risks, dependencies and resource allocation across the full programme landscape.

·        Act as the key link between senior stakeholders, delivery teams and suppliers.

·        Chair and facilitate governance forums, steering groups and senior-level discussions.

·        Produce high-quality programme reporting, communications and oversight documentation.

·        Provide assurance, challenge and clarity to delivery teams throughout programme lifecycle.

·        Enable teams to deliver at pace while maintaining quality, control and strategic alignment.

·        Proven experience managing digital programmes or portfolios within a secure government environment.

·        Strong ability to coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams in structured or agile environments.

·        Experience developing programme plans, roadmaps, risk registers and dependency maps.

·        Confident stakeholder engagement skills at senior leadership and supplier level.

·        Strong financial and commercial awareness including forecasting, monitoring and supplier oversight.

·        Ability to analyse complex information and communicate clear insights and recommendations.

·        Experience facilitating governance forums and steering groups at programme level.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills with high-quality programme-level deliverables.
