Company cultures & job summary
Our client is an established, highly respected technology and engineering consultancy working on some genuinely meaningful and complex programmes in the Defence sector. They're the kind of organisation that brings together brilliant minds across engineering, science, and operations and gives people the tools and trust to get the job done properly. Based at their well-equipped site in Romsey, Hampshire, the manufacturing team here supports the delivery of cutting-edge products to some very high-profile customers. This is a tight-knit operation where your contribution is visible and valued, you won't be lost in a corporate machine. They need a Production Planner who really knows their stuff. You'll have at least three years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment, a solid grasp of MRP systems (SAP or IFS experience would go down very well), and the ability to juggle materials planning, shop floor coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder communication without breaking a sweat. Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and a sharp eye for detail are a must — this role keeps the whole production engine running, so you'll need to be organised, proactive, and comfortable working at pace. Sound like you?
