To be successful, you'll need strong experience with Primavera P6, a solid understanding of programme planning within complex project environments, and a background in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, or logistics. You'll work closely with the lead EPC Planner, who oversees client reporting, taking ownership of the day-to-day planning activities and driving schedules forward with minimal supervision.

Working Patterns and location – Fully on site

Key responsibilities

·        Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules to support the successful delivery of major EPC projects.

·        Monitor project progress against programme milestones, identifying potential delays and escalating risks as required.

·        Ensure planning data remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with project reporting requirements.

·        Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams to capture progress and reflect changes within project schedules.

·        Analyse schedule performance, identify variances from baseline plans, and contribute to mitigation and recovery planning activities.

·        Produce look-ahead programmes, milestone reports, and planning metrics to support project delivery and decision-making.

·        Provide planning expertise across multiple workstreams, helping to coordinate activities and maintain programme alignment within a complex EPC environment.

Skills & experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a Planning role supporting complex engineering, infrastructure, or EPC project delivery.

  • Strong practical knowledge of Primavera P6, including the creation, management, and optimisation of project schedules.

  • Industry experience within sectors such as energy, manufacturing, logistics, or other large-scale operational environments.

  • Solid understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and programme governance principles.

  • Self-sufficient and capable of managing planning activities on-site with minimal supervision.

  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and communicate schedule risks, constraints, and critical path impacts.

  • Comfortable operating within fast-moving, multi-disciplinary project environments, managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across project, engineering, and delivery teams.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Experience working within EPC contract frameworks.

·        Familiarity with client-facing reporting processes and schedule governance.

·        APM or P3O qualification or equivalent planning certification.

·        Experience supporting NEC or similar contract planning requirements.
