Our client is looking for an experienced Planner to oversee the consolidation and integration of over 1000 P6 schedules into a wider business portfolio.

The successful applicant will be an experienced planning and scheduling specialist that has both the capability to design P6 technical concepts for large complex portfolios and who thrives on working across large communities of stakeholders!

Working pattern Likely 2 days per week on site, with more at busier periods

Key responsibilities
  • Bring together P6 schedules from the whole organisation to put together a portfolio view of all planning.
  • Proactive leadership of stakeholder engagement and to ensure organisation collaboration and coherence on plans.
  • Provide leadership across the business to develop the vision, concept, and frameworks for integrated planning and P6 scheduling.
  • Undertake the analysis and report the conclusions on alignment between supply and demand and risk to the programme.
  • Ensure alignment between the integrated scheduling and the companies financial and material demand toolset.
  • Develop and maintain reporting metrics and information on the health of business delivery of the supply plan and impact against demand.
  • Present the delivery performance, risks and issues impacting coherence and alignment of the plan to executive stakeholders.
Skills & experience
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to manage and influence other planners and stakeholders.
  • Extensive recent and relevant planning and scheduling experience in a Defence environment or similar.
  • Knowledge of P6 (they would consider limited knowledge if the people skills are there!)
  • Experience developing executive reporting concepts for complex organisation scheduling information and analytics.
  • Resource loading P6 schedules to produce cost forecasts.
  • Experience management diverse direct or indirect teams to deliver outputs to senior stakeholders.
