Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer with a strong background within the MoD to deliver hands-on support to customers across the UK and internationally. You'll need solid IT infrastructure knowledge alongside Mod experience. Apply Today! 

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 4 days on site per week

•        Visit customer sites to maintain, patch, update and audit systems and products.

•        Perform corrective maintenance and repairs to resolve customer issues on-site.

•        Support military exercises, demonstrations, testing and customer acceptance of new deliveries.

•        Deliver operator and maintainer training to customer personnel.

•        Provide 1st and 2nd line remote support via the service desk for product operation and maintenance issues.

•        Install, configure and maintain Windows Server environments, firewalls and virtualised platforms such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V.

•        Perform root cause analysis on customer returns, documenting fault reports, RMA notifications and certificates of conformance.

•        Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (one week on, three weeks off) with potential for short-notice site attendance.

•        Proven experience delivering and supporting hardware and infrastructure in a military environment.

•        Knowledge of LAN, WAN and VLAN architectures, firewalls, hypervisors, and Windows/Linux configuration.

•        Experience working across differing levels of security classification.

•        Knowledge of crypto devices and their application in secure environments.

•        Experience supporting low-volume, high-value products and systems in a regulated environment.

•        Understanding of hardware lifecycle management, upgrades and capacity expansion planning.

•        Awareness of ITIL v3 or v4 service management frameworks.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

•        Degree or HND/HNC in an engineering discipline.

•        Full clean UK driving licence.

•        Experience supporting military exercises or live technical demonstrations in the field.
