Our client is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join their team and drive best practice across end-to-end SDLC and deployment automation. You'll need solid hands-on experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and cybersecurity tooling. Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3 days on site per week
Key responsibilities
· Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment automation.
· Apply SRE principles to improve uptime and reliability of live operational systems.
· Coach and mentor team members in DevSecOps best practice and tooling.
· Collaborate with security architects to ensure products are secure by design.
· Work with quality engineers and product owners to schedule and deliver releases.
· Participate in code reviews and contribute to overall code quality.
· Support and troubleshoot live operational systems, resolving issues promptly.
· Contribute to agile ceremonies across Scrum, Kanban or SAFe frameworks.
Skills & experience
· Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies in a DevSecOps context.
· Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, e.g. GitLab CI/CD.
· Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Ansible or Puppet.
· Knowledge of cybersecurity practices including vulnerability scanning, IDAM and network security.
· Linux shell scripting and automation scripting in Python or similar language.
· Experience with SRE monitoring and analysis tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Elasticsearch.
· Familiarity with microservices, APIs (RESTful and gRPC) and pub/sub architectures like Kafka.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
· Experience with Azure or GCP in addition to AWS.
· Knowledge of GPU containerisation tools such as NVIDIA Container Toolkit or Run:AI.
· Previous DevSecOps experience within the Defence or wider public sector.
· Degree level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent practical experience.
· Experience with MLOps or edge compute environments.
