Introduction

Our client provide excellent software services to the Defence and National Security sector. They are winning exciting new work and are looking for strong technical individuals to join their team.

They are looking for a Devops Engineers skilled in Python, Ansible to help streamline their systems whilst resolving any technical issues.

Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 4 days on site per week in Cheltenham.

Key responsibilities
  • Implementing and maintain integrations requested by customers and clients.
  • Integrating security processes and practices throughout the software development cycle from start to finish.
  • Monitoring health and performance of applications and Infrastructure
  • Keeping track of key metrics to ensure optimising of systems.
  • Identifying key issues and tackle trouble shooting.
  • Deploying updates and fixes.
  • Providing Level 2 technical support.
  • Building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
  • Developing software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
  • Performing root cause analysis.
  • Creating scripts to automate data visualization and system monitoring
  • Creating structured workflows for diagnosing issues and maintaining system health.
  • Collecting and analysing technical requirements to inform CI/CD pipeline design and system automation.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation.
  • Automation and orchestration way of working.
Skills & experience
  • Basic Linux Sysadmin (RHCSA).
  • Using GitLabs for CI/CD pipelines for automated tests.

The client would also like to see some of the Preferred Qualifications:

  • A BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant field.
  • AWS Certifications.
