My client is a large consultancy in the UK and are particularly successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, HR, Business Change and Software Engineering.

We are looking for Senior level business change and transformation experts that reside within the defence industry. Having an active SC or DV Clearance for this position would be desirable, however my Client are keen on candidates within the public sector that would be suitable for this position if you do not hold a security clearance currently.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Human Centered role, such as a transformation of a whole organisation to make it more agile and efficient for people and users of that business, through the implementation or change of a particular system or output of working.

This role can be predominantly remote working, however my Client are a top consultancy so there will be the expectation to travel to client sites as and when required. Your office base location will also be free for you to use as and when you require this

Key responsibilities
  • Help clients solve complex issues by performing analysis, providing recommendations and utilising a combination of experience, industry knowledge, tools and technology
  • Develop work plans for client engagements and leading the delivery of defined project objectives
  • Experience in managing end-to-end project lifecycle and risk management and demonstrates strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Work with a range of stakeholders both internally within the company and in client organisations, as a subject matter expert on Transformation Leadership
  • People management experience, including; managing high-performing teams; coaching and mentoring; supporting development of junior team members
  • Support business development by contributing to new business proposals and taking roles in industry and account teams
  • Contribute to internal practice development by participating in proposition, methodology and point of view development activities and supporting knowledge capture and sharing
  • Deliver and lead components of end-to-end Transformation Leadership activity in a variety of programme contexts
Skills & experience
  • Overall, your experience should include contribution to large scale organisation transformation programmes, ideally using traditional and/or agile methodologies with a “digital product and technology enabled” focus
  • Experience of working on projects ideally in a consulting organisation, or in an internal consultant role
  • Experience and knowledge of working in/with the Public sector
  • Innovative mindset and keen interest in newest thinking around transformation, the future of work, and technology disrupters
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments and demonstrate personal resilience
  • Ability to develop and manage client/stakeholder relationships at all levels in an organisation
  • Experience in designing and delivering high-impact leadership development programmes, building alignment of senior leaders around their purpose, priorities and collective accountability
  • Proven experience in developing relationships with senior business leaders, successfully navigating individual and team transitions
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with clients, as well as build internal networks with senior stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating senior leadership team workshops to develop leadership capabilities, mind-set and insights they require to authentically lead
  • Strong understanding of in related areas of human-centred transformation such as culture change, change management, learning and talent, (experience is desirable).
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and/or recognised certification in coaching is desirable but not mandatory for the role
  • Experience in designing and delivering leadership assessments and leadership development planning is desirable but not mandatory for the role
