  • Our client is a large consultancies in the UK and are particular successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Change and Software Engineering.
  • Their agile solutions contribute to a stronger and more cost-effective defence agenda, without sacrificing the overall mission of organisations.
Key responsibilities
  • Bringing your Agile experience and working with colleagues using Digital methods and tools to design and deliver high quality digital solutions for frontline end-users
  • Working closely with front line end-users and Product Owners to discover, research and capture their needs
  • Identify the business benefits to be realised through the new services & products, and how to measure them
  • Creating Personas and User Journeys reflecting the User Research to take into Design and Delivery
  • Working with Experience Designers to create wireframes and prototypes to bring solution options to life
  • Working closely with Product Owners to create and maintain a prioritised service & product backlog
  • The preparation and readiness of the product backlog items (eg user stories) to be taken into delivery sprints
  • Working with those across the Agile delivery lifecycle including Delivery Management, UX, Creative, Architecture, Development, Integration, Test, Business Change, Project and Release Management
  • Supporting business development activity such as developing and responding to opportunities, preparing materials for client presentations and pitches, and taking part in marketing activities
  • Supporting practice development activity such as involvement in Guilds, developing internal training courses and organising events.
Skills & experience
  • Experience as an Agile Business Analyst working on digital or technology transformation projects either at a leading consultancy or Government organisation
  • Experience of discovering, capturing, and documenting the needs of end-users, and taking ownership of them throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile delivery projects using Agile tools and methods, working as a team-player in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience and a passion for working within Central Government Proven capability of working successfully with senior client stakeholders and end-users, quickly building successful relationships and establishing credibility
  • A passion for digital and technology, with the drive and determination to continually learn new things and develop yourself
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to rationalise complex information to make it understandable for others to work with
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • A good graduate degree (1st or Upper Second) from a reputable university, or a track record of experience that demonstrates capability and credibility at a comparable level
  • For more senior roles, experience of working with senior client stakeholders, leading solution design and overseeing delivery and dependency management in complex environments and situations

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • User Research, Experience or Service Design, Operating Model Design, Business Process Design
  • Software Development, Product Integration, Agile Delivery Management, Testing
  • The market leading packages and platforms used for Agile software development and delivery management, data analysis, and digital content management
  • Designing and building digital solutions that meet the GDS Service Standard
  • The political, commercial and technology challenges faced by the Central Government sector, and how digital technologies and delivery approaches can help solve them.
