Our client is looking for a Solutions Architect to join them on their Nuclear Energy projects.

You'll be designing and assuring information systems architecture to support a world-leading nuclear infrastructure client organisation.

A solid understanding of enterprise architecture and TOGAF, combined with experience on major complex projects, is essential.

Working Patterns and location – Remote with occasional travel required to Warrington required a couple of times a month, and travel to external sites.

·        Analyse business requirements and advise stakeholders on feasibility and appropriate solutions.

·        Lead solution optioneering and support business case development, including cost and risk considerations.

·        Prepare logical solution designs and Solution Design Documents for information systems.

·        Maintain enterprise architecture models using agreed methods and tooling.

·        Collaborate with technical, security, integration and data architects to produce end-to-end designs.

·        Act as solution design authority during delivery, reviewing and assuring supplier and internal designs.

·        Contribute to innovation forums, triaging business ideas and requirements for further investigation.

·        Update enterprise architecture models to reflect as-realised implemented solutions.

·        Strong enterprise and solution architecture experience, ideally within major infrastructure projects.

·        TOGAF knowledge or certification and working understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.

·        Knowledge of information systems applicable to engineering, procurement, construction and operations environments.

·        Proven ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic, justified solution designs.

·        Experience supporting option appraisal, business case development and work package definition.

·        Strong communication skills — able to engage and present to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·        Experience working in complex, regulated or safety-critical project environments.

·        Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams at pace, with comfort navigating ambiguity.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Knowledge of nuclear industry standards, regulations and the wider nuclear sector context.

·        Experience with AI and machine learning use cases in engineering or operational settings.

·        Familiarity with configuration management standards such as ISO 10007.

·        Knowledge of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and interface management solutions.

·        Familiarity with Digital Rehearsal or other simulation and predictive modelling technologies.

·        TOGAF certified practitioner qualification.

Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
