Introduction

Are you ready to lead teams through complex challenges in Defence and Aerospace? Our client, a consultancy powerhouse, is seeking a Principal/Senior Systems Engineering Consultant to join their dynamic team.

With a hybrid working model, you'll likely spend 3 days onsite and 2 days at home, offering flexibility while keeping you engaged.

Join a consultancy at the forefront of Defence and Aerospace, where you'll tackle diverse projects from niche consultancies to high-profile programs. As a DV Cleared Systems Engineer, you'll provide expert consultancy, championing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide consultancy advice to client project and engineering teams.
  • Apply a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to solving client issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve successful milestones.
  • Deliver engineering outputs within time, cost, and quality constraints as part of an engineering service to a client.
Skills & experience
  • Degree qualified or professionally recognised with an appropriate institution e.g., CEng, CSEP.
  • The use of MBSE approaches and tools (e.g. Sparx EA, Cameo).
  • Knowledge of modelling languages and architecture frameworks, e.g., UML/SysML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, MODAF.
  • Requirements engineering and its link to verification and validation.
  • Working on the integration of complex systems, including military civilian platforms (submarines, aircraft, ships, and vehicles), civilian aircraft systems and advanced power and energy systems.
  • Applying systems engineering processes (e.g., ISO 15288:2023) across the lifecycle.
  • Understanding of engineering within the MOD’s acquisition framework, Knowledge in Defence (KiD).
