Our client is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join their growing Solution Design team, working on complex digital transformation programmes for some of the UK's most significant defence, security and government organisations. You'll need proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect with strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and cloud platforms.

Working Patterns and location – Fully on site

·        Define technology architecture, modelling and solution options to meet strategic business objectives.

·        Drive customer strategies through complex, mixed-technology environments.

·        Balance technology and business considerations to address client needs effectively.

·        Define features, requirements and delivery phases for solution implementation.

·        Develop solution specifications aligned to business strategies and enterprise architecture frameworks.

·        Lead and support technical initiatives, introducing clear technical visions within the Enterprise Architecture Framework.

·        Manage stakeholder relationships, providing expert advice and clear technical guidance.

·        Ensure solutions are efficient, sustainable and fit for current and future business needs.

·        Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or Digital Consultant.

·        Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, ISO42010, ITIL or IT4IT.

·        Strong knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS and M365, including hybrid cloud environments.

·        Experience applying integration patterns, API-led design and service-oriented approaches across complex systems.

·        Knowledge of identity, access management and security-by-design principles aligned to government standards.

·        Experience gathering and analysing system requirements and producing technical architecture documentation.

·        Understanding of application modernisation, legacy migration and contemporary digital service adoption.

·        Strong stakeholder management, consulting and communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Experience working within Defence, Security and Intelligence, Local Government or other regulated industries.

·        Familiarity with Agile delivery methods such as SAFe, Scrum and associated practices.

·        Awareness of data platforms, information architecture and analytics capabilities within enterprise solutions.

·        Familiarity with enterprise networking, connectivity and secure architectures in sensitive environments.

·        Appreciation of emerging technologies such as IoT, edge computing and automation.

·        Degree in a science, computing or engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
