Senior Security Consultant

Our client is a growing consultancy company focused around providing security services to clients across Defence and Central Government.

They are looking for an experienced Security Consultant who has worked within Central Government to join their team to design/architect cloud native services from discovery through to delivery.

You will need to have worked within consulting and Central Government in the past and work as the “customer friend”.

Working Patterns: This role is based in London with 1 day per week on site and some travel to the South West, likely monthly.

• Shape, assure, and enable the delivery of secure, cloud native services at scale for Central Government clients.
• Work from discovery and architecture through delivery and transition to live.
• Serve as the “customer friend” and simplify security for the decision makers.
• Embed Secure by Design principles across the projects.
• Provide security engineering and assurance services.
• Identify threats and translate findings into actionable design and control decisions.
• Advise on secure architecture for modern platforms (segmentation, identity/access, encryption, data protection, secrets, and resilience).
• Recommend and review controls for containerised and serverless workloads.
• Contribute to presales and bid activity when needed.

• Both consulting experience and have worked within Central Government/National Security is a must for this role.
• A strong grasp of how contemporary cloud native are designed and implemented.
• CISSP, CISM, CCP or similar.
• Experience developing security architecture and design for complex IT requirements, ensuring smooth transition from design to live service.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience embedding methodologies, technologies, principles, policies and standards into organisations.
