This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site with travel to other client sites required.
My client is a global engineering consultancy to help them deliver complex projects in their water and utilities sector.
They are looking for a senior project manager with ample experience with water infrastructure projects and strong NEC contract management experience. You will also be manging and leading teams.
Key responsibilities
- Managing infrastructure projects across the project lifecycle, including:
- project management principles
- delivering to client objectives
- contract management; leadership and teamwork
- financial management and project controls
- health, safety, quality and environmental management.
- Lead and develop teams
- Working with a diverse range of stakeholders to build strong relations and effective communications.
- Understanding complex problems, using analytical and numerous skills to deliver solutions.
- Planning and organising multiple work streams and communicating back to senior members of the team.
Skills & experience
- Strong experience in utilities/water infrastructure project management.
- NEC contract Management.
- Managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects.
- Strong consultancy or client-side project management.
- Familiarity with public sector organisations, non-departmental or arm’s length bodies relevant to infrastructure.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Degree or HND qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Professional affiliation, qualification or near qualified status with the APM, ICE, CIWEM, or similar professional institution.
- Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP).
- NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications.
