Senior Project Controls Consultant

Our client is looking for Project Controls Consultant at various levels to join their growing Defence team, supporting key Infrastructure, IT and Engineering programmes.

You'll need solid experience across Project Controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management and EVM.

You will be working day-to-day in a client facing role so you will need to have excellent stakeholder management experience.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 2-3 days on site per week

·        Lead cross-discipline Project Controls teams on medium to high complexity defence programmes.

·        Define project scope using exclusions, assumptions, interfaces and dependencies; coordinate Work Breakdown Structure.

·        Establish and maintain a robust Performance Measurement Baseline and manage change control.

·        Analyse performance data including Earned Value Management to support delivery decisions.

·        Integrate scope, cost, risk and schedule to ensure alignment across the project.

·        Liaise with Finance to produce Cost and Cash Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Complete profiles.

·        Establish governance processes to enable structured, auditable decision making.

·        Mentor and coach team members to drive continuous capability improvement.

·        Proven Project Controls experience across a significant portion of the project lifecycle within a Defence environment.

·        Hands-on experience in two or more disciplines: planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management or performance reporting.

·        Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and application.

·        Ability to integrate and analyse supplier performance data against contractual Project Controls requirements.

·        Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes at senior level.

·        Primavera P6 experience is ideal.

·        Consultancy experience would be beneficial.
