- As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical systems using cloud platforms. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, building CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and managing micro-service architecture within containerised and virtualised environments.

This role is based full time on site.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a team to design, develop and support mission-critical systems.
- Automate system deployment, operation and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
- Work alongside technical leads to support the selection and implementation of appropriate tools to address complex project challenges.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality, stability and efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support system migration initiatives, preparing applications for cloud environments and enabling microservices-based architectures.
Skills & experience
- Degree in Computer Science (or related discipline), equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience.
- AWS certification (Practitioner or Associate level), with experience designing, deploying and managing cloud-based solutions.
- Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, Maven or Bamboo.
- Experience automating tasks using tools or scripting languages such as Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet or Python.
- Experience working with virtualised and/or containerised environments, including VMware, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience using tools such as the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience working within Agile environments, with the ability to adapt across multiple teams.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience designing, deploying or administering Linux/Unix-based platforms, including use of virtualisation, containerisation and Infrastructure as Code (desirable).
- Experience using performance monitoring and logging tools such as Elastic Stack, Grafana or CheckMK.
