Our client is a specialist digital innovation partner working at the heart of UK Defence and National Security sector.

You’ll need to hit the ground running, you'll need solid experience operating production environments for live users, a strong DevOps toolkit, and the confidence to deploy new solutions in constrained or high-security settings. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, take real ownership of your work, and love finding creative ways to solve hard problems. Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Bash will go a long way.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3 days on site per week

·        Deploy new solutions into complex, secure, and often constrained environments.

·        Enhance and maintain existing platforms, balancing reliability and performance.

·        Manage and support production systems serving live users in operational settings.

·        Build iteratively using an MVP approach, learning quickly from failures.

·        Collaborate with team members and customers to share ideas and technical solutions.

·        Identify and implement innovative approaches to solve difficult technical challenges.

·        Contribute to operational excellence across cloud-based and secure platform environments.

·        Experience operating and supporting production environments for live users.

·        Strong DevOps background with hands-on knowledge of relevant tooling and practices.

·        Experience working across a variety of cloud-based platforms.

·        Ability to deploy and manage solutions in secure or constrained environments.

·        Strong problem-solving skills with a curious, innovative mindset.

·        Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership in a small, agile team.

·        Clear communicator able to engage both technical teams and non-technical customers.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

·        Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.

·        Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.

·        Scripting experience in Bash or similar shell environments.
