Our client is a global consultancy company looking to expand their teams of consultants across multiple teams and locations within their Defence practice, working on some of the most ambitious programmes in the Defence and National Security sector.

 

There are opportunities available across multiple levels, so we are interested in speaking with individuals at different stages of their consulting career.

 

You will work alongside clients to understand complex challenges, shape solutions and support the successful delivery of transformation programmes within highly secure environments.

 

Depending on your background, your work could span areas such as business transformation, programme delivery, operating model change, technology-enabled transformation, business analysis, organisational change and Agile delivery.

Working Patterns and location – Hybrid working 3 days per week on chosen site, with travel to local client sites in the UK required.

Key responsibilities

·        Supporting or leading complex transformation programmes within Defence and National Security.

·        Working with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, requirements and strategic priorities.

·        Translating complex problems into clear plans, recommendations and deliverables.

·        Supporting programme and project delivery across multidisciplinary teams.

·        Helping organisations introduce new technologies, processes and ways of working.

·        Delivering business analysis, requirements gathering and process improvement activities.

·        Supporting organisational, workforce or operating model transformation.

·        Working within Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

·        Facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.

·        Identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

·        Producing high-quality reports, presentations and recommendations for clients.

·        Taking increasing responsibility for client relationships and team leadership at more senior levels.

 

Skills & experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex challenges and develop practical, well-structured solutions.

  • Experience supporting or delivering business change and transformation, helping organisations improve processes, services and ways of working.

  • Strong consulting skills, with the ability to understand client requirements, challenge constructively and provide clear recommendations.

·        Experience working within complex projects or programmes, managing priorities, risks, dependencies and competing requirements.

·        Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·        Experience facilitating workshops, meetings and stakeholder sessions to gather information, explore challenges and agree actions or outcomes.

·        Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement.

·        An understanding of project and programme delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.

·        The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, collaborating across business, technology and delivery functions.

·        Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to understand the wider organisational context and align recommendations with business objectives.

·        The ability to adapt quickly to different clients, projects and subject areas, while maintaining a high standard of delivery.

·        Experience supporting business development and contributing to bid and proposal activity.

·        Experience working within Defence, National Security, Government or other complex and highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
