Data Architect

Introduction

Our client is looking for a DV Cleared Data Architect to work with stakeholders and turn business problems into data design.

You will need experience with data standard development and data modelling.

Working Patterns and location: 3 – 4 days on client site

Key responsibilities
  • Delivering complex information to non-technical staff.
  • Experience of achieving data interoperability between 2 or more systems or organisations.
  • Experience of developing data standards and the negotiation and collaboration required.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of the existing technology, data, security and compliance requirements.
  • Turning business problems into data design.
  • Data modelling.
  • Development and training staff on the development of data standards.
  • Technical specification writing
Skills & experience
  • Data modelling (developed Physical Data Models, Logical Data Models or Conceptual Data Models)
  • Experience in producing dictionaries, database designs or data flow diagrams.
  • Development of data standards in support of data interoperability – either within an organisation or between organisations.
  • Experience in assuring code/systems against standards.
  • Experience with tools such as Visio, Sparx or Draw. IO.
  • Experience using languages such as UML or Express-G.
  • Experience developing data architecture within Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF.
  • Experience in designing or developing Data Catalogues or Metadata repositories.
  • Experience with tools like Apache Atlas, Hive Metastore, AWS Glue, or AWS Datazone.
