Working Patterns and location – Fully on site

Key responsibilities

·        Build tools and platforms that help cyber teams work more effectively.

·        Analyse large and complex datasets to surface valuable insights.

·        Develop automation and software to improve cyber operations and workflows.

·        Research emerging technologies, adversary behaviour and analytical techniques.

·        Support investigations into sophisticated and high-priority cyber activity.

·        Create new capabilities to defend UK critical infrastructure and government organisations.

·        Collaborate with engineers, analysts and cyber specialists to solve complex problems.

·        Continuously learn and adapt as the threat landscape and technology evolves.

Skills & experience

·        Strong interest and background in cyber security, technology or solving complex technical problems.

·        Analytical mindset with a structured, logical approach to problem solving.

·        Willingness to work across cyber, software and data disciplines and pick up new tools quickly.

·        Strong communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·        Proactive approach to personal development and continuous improvement.

·        Ability to understand how technology, data and security combine to create real-world outcomes.

·        Growth mindset and genuine enthusiasm for tackling unfamiliar, challenging problems.

·        Must already hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

 

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Experience with programming, scripting or software development — professional, academic or personal projects.

·        Familiarity with data analysis, data visualisation or working with large complex datasets.

·        Exposure to cyber security concepts such as threat detection, incident response or vulnerability management.

·        Experience using automation to improve processes or solve technical problems.

·        Familiarity with Linux, cloud platforms, databases, APIs or modern development practices.

·        Practical security experience from home labs, hackathons, open-source contributions or self-directed learning.
