AI Business Analyst

Our client is a large consultancy in the UK and are particularly successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts within Project and Technical Management, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Change and Software Engineering.

Our client is looking for AI Business Analysts to join their Data Science and Machine Learning team working exclusively with Defence and National Security clients. You'll be bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping identify opportunities for data and AI projects and driving real-world impact. You must already hold DV clearance to be considered for this role.

Working Patterns and location – hybrid working with 3 days per week on site and UK wide travel if required.

·        Identify, analyse, prioritise and validate business and user requirements for data and AI products.

·        Conduct options analyses, feasibility assessments and impact assessments to support business case development.

·        Apply data science, machine learning and AI techniques to solve complex client problems.

·        Participate in all project lifecycle phases from capturing user needs through to scaling live services.

·        Manage client stakeholder relationships and take ownership of project deliverables.

·        Shape new propositions and support bid work to win new projects.

·        Promote user adoption of developed data tools and products across client organisations.

·        Support continual learning and development within the wider team.

·        Experience identifying and validating business and user requirements for data science products and services.

·        Experience conducting feasibility assessments, options analyses and contributing to business cases.

·        Hands-on experience applying data science or machine learning in Defence, Security, public sector or academia.

·        Ability to identify and compare delivery methods for data and data science capabilities, including measuring outcomes.

·        Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex problems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·        Proven ability to build productive relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.

·        Evidence of contributing to practice development, including propositions, mentoring or bid support.

·        Must already hold UK security clearance to Developed Vetting (DV) level.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

·        Ability to work with limited direction to deliver defined project outputs independently.

·        Understanding of mathematics, statistics and probability as applied to data science.

·        Knowledge of data visualisation tools and experience creating dashboards and reports.

·        Knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle from prototyping through to enterprise-scale deployment.

·        Understanding of ethical and responsible AI principles and experience applying them in practice.
