Our client is looking for someone who is experienced with using adobe to create engaging and diverse training materials for the Royal Navy!

Remote role with some travel to South Hampshire 1 or 2 times a month

Our client is a supplier to the Ministry of Defence and are looking for someone to work as a Video Developer developing training materials and courseware for the Royal Navy. The training that is being delivered could include technical engineering and operator training.

They are open to candidates with a broad background within video editing and development. This could come from an educational or commercial background, so if you think you should be considered, get in touch today!

Desired tools to use:

  • Avid Media Composer and/or Adobe Premiere Pro non-linear video editing software
  • Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Media Encoder
  • Avid ProTools or other audio production software

This role is primarily remote but with 1 or 2 days per month once required on site in Hampshire, but this will be expensed.

This position is responsible for the development of video-based learning and training materials and courseware. The courseware may be produced for many different industries and will be delivered as standalone video and as part of a variety of interactive media.

Key responsibilities
  • Writing scripts based on provided source materials
  • Planning/logistics surrounding the production of video
  • Creatively direct crews and talent for video productions
  • Developing and managing production budgets and schedules
  • Perform of all aspects of video production (Producing/Directing, videography, audio recording, and video editing)
Skills & experience

The ideal candidate has a background in a wide variety of video production environments, thinks creatively, excels in a collaborative team atmosphere, and is detail oriented.

  • Planning/logistics and directing of low complexity video productions involving an on-camera actor/talent and a small crew
  • Applying lighting techniques and equipment
  • Operating professional video cameras and related equipment in a variety of production environments
  • Utilising microphones and audio recording equipment


  • Ability to comprehend/interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to script writing and video production
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
