Utilities Project Manager

Introduction

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on site.

Our client is a management consultancy. They are looking for a Project Manager with previous water infrastructure experience, to work within their Transport and Utilities sector to assist their clients in delivering a diverse range of projects. Apply today!

Key responsibilities
  • Expertise in managing national critical infrastructure projects, particularly in the field of Water, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Application of project management principles to fulfil client requirements.
  • Contract management.
  • Leadership and teamwork.
  • Cost management and an understanding of Earned Value Management.
  • Health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
  • Stakeholder management skills – must have strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and outline solutions for delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure and encourage team members.
  • Planning, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing several work streams simultaneously and communicating regularly with multiple clients.
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop project teams or work streams as part of larger projects.
Skills & experience
  • Experience of utilities/water infrastructure project management
  • Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts
  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with public sector organisations.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • Degree in a related subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP).
  • NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications.
