Utilities Project Manager
Introduction
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on site.
Our client is a management consultancy. They are looking for a Project Manager with previous water infrastructure experience, to work within their Transport and Utilities sector to assist their clients in delivering a diverse range of projects. Apply today!
Key responsibilities
- Expertise in managing national critical infrastructure projects, particularly in the field of Water, throughout the project lifecycle.
- Application of project management principles to fulfil client requirements.
- Contract management.
- Leadership and teamwork.
- Cost management and an understanding of Earned Value Management.
- Health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Stakeholder management skills – must have strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Ability to solve complex problems and outline solutions for delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure and encourage team members.
- Planning, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience managing several work streams simultaneously and communicating regularly with multiple clients.
- Ability to lead, manage and develop project teams or work streams as part of larger projects.
Skills & experience
- Experience of utilities/water infrastructure project management
- Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors on infrastructure projects
- Experience working with public sector organisations.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Degree in a related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP).
- NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications.
