User Interface Developer

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to work onsite 4 days per week with the option to work from home 1 day per week.

My client is a large defence and national security consultancy who supply their customers with cutting-edge technology and engineering solutions.

They are looking for a DV Cleared UI Developer with experience in JavaScript frameworks and experience developing UI tests.

Key responsibilities
  • Create wireframes and storyboards to create intuitive products.
  • Define workflows and interactions.
  • Conduct analysis to understand the impact of design.
  • Develop personas and user scenarios for usability testing.
  • Work as part of an agile scrum team across end-to-end development.
Skills & experience
  • Development experience using reactive JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue).
  • Developing UI tests using UI testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Jest, Cypress).
  • JavaScript tooling and deployment (Npm, ESLint, Babel, Prettier).
  • Module Bundlers (esbuild, parcel, vite, webpack).
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines for automated build, packaging and deployment.
  • Responsive design and UI frameworks (e.g. Material UI), including cross browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and specifications (e.g. WCAG, WAI-ARIA)
  • Any UX experience is desirable.
  • Gitlab / Gitpod.
