Transport and Utilities Project Manager

My customer is a substantial construction and engineering consultancy that specialises in supporting major clients in executing complex projects worldwide.

They are currently in search of a Project Manager to aid clients in successfully delivering prominent projects spanning diverse sectors, including the construction industry. Applicants should be experienced in managing NEC and ECC Contracts, alongside working with UK governments/ Local Authorities to deliver quality infrastructure projects.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week required onsite. The rest of the work can be done from home. You may also be required to travel to client sites occasionally.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing and administering NEC or ECC contracts
  • Managing project teams or workstreams
  • Take responsibility for high quality delivery
  • Build strong relationships with clients
  • Actively developing solutions and supporting tools and methods
  • Liaising with service line teams, account teams and functional specialists
Skills & experience
  • Experience working with UK Government/Local Authorities (particularly in flood risk, environmental agencies, water companies)
  • Experience managing small – medium teams.
  • Experience managing projects from the planning phase into implementation.
  • Previous experience managing NEC contracts.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management certification (APM or PRINCE2)
  • Degree or HND qualification in an engineering or construction field.
  • Professionally qualified or near qualified status with the ICE, CIWEM, APM or similar professional institution would be advantageous.
  • NEC3 or NEC4 PM Accreditation.
  • CITB Site Management Safety Training Course.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
