Our client is seeking to recruit Consultants to work predominantly in the defence sector.  Their expanding Programme Advisory division specialises in the strategy, set-up and transformation of major programmes / organisations across the public and private sectors, with a rapidly expanding presence in the defence sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to support their world-renowned clients across a variety of sectors including defence, renewables, transport, infrastructure, and utilities.  Their diverse and growing team of experts positively influence others and have an inclusive culture, bringing innovative thinking to some of the world’s most complex problems.

Key responsibilities

You will be expected to contribute across a number of areas, including:

  • Contributing to change management activity, including facilitating workshops, developing deliverables, managing communications, and governing client stakeholders.
  • Supporting key activities within the Programme Advisory team including internal development of transformation products.
  • Supporting bid proposals, working closely alongside Senior Management and the wider team.
  • Supporting the identification, definition and tracking of benefits, outcomes and measures required of programmes and the overall change portfolio.
Skills & experience
  • Experience of change management delivery.
  • Experience of programme and/or project management.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Able to work and thrive in a multi stakeholder environment with a ‘making the difference’
  • Robust and methodical analytical skills, being able to take data and develop insights to support solution development.
  • Capable of producing high quality deliverables under time pressure.
  • High attention to detail and standard of work.
  • Some understanding of the UK defence sector.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the defence sector, either within UK Defence or in a customer-facing role in the supply chain.
  • Undergraduate or Master’s degree, or similar higher education or professional qualification.
  • Experienced across the MS Office suite. Ability to use MS Visio or Power BI would also be desirable.

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
