Technical Project Manager
Introduction
Our client is delivering Infrastructure, Network and Technical projects within the National Security space and they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team!
You will be happy working on technical projects and able to coordinate complex projects with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is based full time on site.
Key responsibilities
- Be the face of the project, liaising with technical teams, clients and delivery teams.
- Create and uphold project management documentation, which includes project plans, RAID registers and status reports.
- Identify project deliverables, milestones, and the necessary activities and tasks on the project schedule.
- Review and validate the work plans of external service providers engaged to execute project components.
- Effectively document and manage risks, issues, and changes that arise during the project.
- Collaborate with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members to attain project objectives.
- Design a project plan bridging technical and regulatory functions.
- Establish and maintain weekly reporting.
- Identify potential project problems, risks, mitigate contingencies and implement corrective actions.
Skills & experience
- Experience in a similar role within a National Security environment.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Technical Project Manager, with a preference for experience in network and infrastructure projects.
- Skilful communication, adept at conveying network and infrastructure engineering concepts as well as technical project details to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability and experience in identifying potential issues and promptly escalating them to higher management when necessary.
- Experience with strategic management of contracts and project-related suppliers, including meticulous oversight of budgets and deadlines.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and be able to think outside the box.
