Our client is a strategic partner to the MOD and is looking for a Technical Lead to join their team in the Defence division. This role would suit an experienced Solutions or Enterprise Architect who has worked at a strategic level with clients such as the MOD.

Ideal candidates would have broad experience across Data, Infrastructure, Networks and Business Architecture and use that knowledge to position my client to deliver and win future opportunities within the MOD.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to now focus on technical leadership and operate in a Senior position at a company who are growing incredibly fast!

Key responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for our client’s most complex and challenging ICT consulting and implementation tasks, ensuring excellent delivery outcomes.
  • Drive technical coherence across the portfolio and coach and guide staff as to the most appropriate technical approaches.
  • Work closely with the Defence account team, providing a technical focal point supporting development of robust growth.
  • Work with other Directors and Managers, leading the technical elements of key bids and pursuits.
  • Develop and articulate compelling value propositions and leading thought leadership.
  • Drive our brand perception with key economic buyers and strategic influencers in line with our desired market positioning.
  • Act as a bridge into different technical areas, articulating strategic capability development needs and support both market and practice strategies and plans.
  • Leverage senior client relationships in pursuit of the above.
Skills & experience

Outstanding ICT consulting and/or implementation credentials at enterprise level within some of the following areas:

  • Strategy and Solutions/Enterprise/Service/Business Architecture background.
  • A background focused on technical delivery and/or leading technical delivery teams.
  • Governance, planning and compliance.
  • Cloud and Data (governance, architecture, exploitation).
  • A keen interest on transformational technology exploitation (such as robotics, AI).
  • Accomplished at communicating complex technical concepts with ease to a wide range of stakeholders, specifically board level stakeholders and the Ministry of Defence.
  • Demonstrable evidence of technically leading complex tenders and bids.
