Systems Engineer

Introduction

Our client is a large defence organisation who are working closely with the MOD on submarine projects.

They are on the lookout for a systems engineer who has experience working in defence or maritime control systems.

 You will also have good knowledge of the engineering lifecycle as a whole as well as strong requirements management.

This role will be hybrid with two days every two weeks on site. Travel to other sites may be required.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the engineering managers and technical leads in delivering control systems and products.
  • Developing customer requirements.
  • Working collaboratively as a team.
  • Ensure that design verification evidence is thorough, accurately documented in the requirements management tools, and approved by the relevant authority.
  • Understand the contractual and performance requirements for control systems and assist in defining the related acceptance criteria throughout the design, construction, integration, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Reviewing supplier documentation.
  • Communicating to both internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & experience
  • Good knowledge of control systems.
  • Worked across whole engineering lifecycle.
  • Degree level in STEM subject or equivalent.
