Systems Engineer (Requirements)
Introduction
Our client is a core Defence organisation who are working closely with the MOD to provide them with innovative equipment.
This is a really exciting opportunity to work on a new system that is going on to an existing platform.
You will need a background in Systems Engineering, ideally within Defence to be selected for this role.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities
- Work across the whole systems engineering lifecycle to ensure system and platform integrate together and are suitable for purpose.
- Author System Requirements Specifications and Subsystem Technical Specifications.
- Participate in trade studies including defining key performance requirements.
- Technical management of equipment suppliers including review of deliverable documentation.
- Participate at Design Reviews/Acceptance events.
- Plan and support Verification and Validation activities both with Supplier and at Integration facilities.
- Provide regular updates on project status/progress in accordance with project specific reporting cycles.
Skills & experience
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience of requirements management.
- Verification and Validation experience.
- Prior participation in design reviews or similar.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge/experience of System Engineering Lifecycle.
