Our client is recruiting at different levels, from Junior through to Principal and Systems Architect.
Our client is a medium sized Defence Consultancy who are supporting the Defence Contractor with Systems Engineering activities.
They are looking for people who have worked across the whole Systems Lifecycle, with excellent stakeholder and requirements gathering/management skills.
You must have experience working within a Defence/Nuclear environment for this role.
Working Patterns: 4 – 5 days per week on site at Aldermaston. The client can have you as a ‘home based’ worker and pay your expenses to travel into site/stay away if needed.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Defence/Nuclear client engagements, delivering engineering outputs within time, cost and quality.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Implement and manage the DOORS database.
- Create and maintained requirement linksets, baselines, modules, types, and attributes.
- Provide DOORs tool support to the wider engineering community.
- Maintain relationships within a multi-disciplined team.
- Develop system models using SysML and defined system modelling approaches.
- Advise on developing system architectural frameworks and plans.
- Implement system models using recognised Systems Engineering modelling tools, policies and procedures for engineering activities.
- Develop verification models through the definition of claims, arguments, and evidence for system requirements.
- Support the generation of verification strategies (safety, environmental, functional, etc.) and develop evidence roadmaps for complex programmes.
- Manage aspects of the verification MBSE model.
- Team leadership and project ownership responsibilities at the more senior level.
- Identify further opportunities within clients to grow the practice and the team.
Skills & experience
- Equivalent experience within Systems Engineering in a Defence or Nuclear context.
- Knowledge across the whole engineering lifecycle and specifically requirements engineering.
- Knowledge of modelling languages and architecture frameworks (UML/SysML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, MODAF).
- MBSE experience is a ‘nice to have’.
- At more senior levels: task and/or people leadership.
