Systems Design Engineer

Our client is a prime Defence contractor and they are looking for an experienced and high performing Technical Leader in Hardware Engineering within the Defence environment!

They are looking for a Leader who has a broad knowledge across systems, hardware, mechanical, software, safety and reliability.

The role will involve team and technical leadership to take responsibility for a varied range of product designs and is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Technical Leader!

• Drive successful delivery of projects throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Technical leadership of the Hardware, Firmware and Software Development activities.
• Development of complex analogue and digital solutions.
• Work across the full lifecycle from the initial concept stage through to final production and certification.
• Working with customers develop and shape the technical requirements design.
• Manage requirements through the design.
• Support and mentor junior engineers through their activities.
• Leading the technical input for bids and proposals, and business development.

• Experience in technical leadership of teams running complex multi-disciplinary developments.
• Knowledge of digital and analogue technologies (RF, FPGA, DSP, high-speed and design within harsh environments.)
• Systems design and excellent knowledge of systems engineering principles and it’s application to product development.

• Up to 10.5% company contribution pension.
