Our client operate in the Food and Beverage sector. They specialise in building ERP Software.
This role is responsible for making sure a new ERP system works correctly for a food business before it is fully used. The person in this role plans and runs testing based on real business processes, works closely with business users and IT teams to find and fix problems.
Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week on site in Chester.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage testing to ensure the ERP system and its integrated modules work together as a complete end-to-end solution
- Plan and define testing activities that reflect real business processes across manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and finance
- Coordinate integration testing between the ERP system and connected applications, suppliers, and interfaces
- Work closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to execute tests and resolve issues
- Track defects, manage risks, and ensure problems are fixed and retested before go-live
- Report testing progress and system readiness, supporting final business sign-off and go-live decisions
Skills & experience
- Proven ability to test ERP systems where multiple modules and connected systems must work together smoothly
- Understanding of how data and processes flow across integrated business systems
- Strong collaboration skills to bring together business users, technical teams, and external partners during testing
- Practical knowledge of food manufacturing or food distribution operations and regulatory needs
- Confidence using tools like JIRA to track issues, manage testing work, and report progress
- Clear communication and leadership skills to guide testing activities and support decision-making
