Supply Chain Officer

Due to substantial growth, our client is looking to recruit a Procurement Officer to support their Aerospace business! They provide manufacturing and support solutions across Defence and Aerospace.

They are looking for candidates who have worked in Aerospace/Defence/Engineering and keen to work in a fast-paced, growing business.

This is a hybrid role with 4 days per week on site and 1 from home. The office is in North East Bristol, about a 12 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station. There are bike lock up facilities and showers/changing facilities available.

• Support day to day procurement activities within Defence/Aerospace.
• Manage key strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure best quality and cost for clients.
• Ensure key deliverables and milestones are achieved by monitoring risk, escalation and improvement activities.
• Deliver strategic sourcing and negotiate with suppliers regarding terms and conditions, cost and KPIs.
• Ensure on-time delivery and that KPIs are met.
• Support on bids and tenders where appropriate.
• Manage a reliable network of suppliers and production schedules.
• Ensure the timely supply of materials in line with production requirements and business deliverables.
• Oversee the management and tracking of open purchase orders, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for effective order tracking and reporting.

• Minimum of 2 years within a Procurement/Supply Chain/Buyer role within Defence, Engineering or Aerospace.
• Experience managing strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Want to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player and willing to contribute to business growth.
