My client is a top consultancy within the UK and are looking for Strategy Manager to work across many large-scale change and transformation programmes across the Public, Private and Financial sector. This role will place you at the face of the organisation where you will work closely with external clients, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers, providing them with strategic business decisions to help influence them towards solutions that will have a positive impact on their projects and business.

My client is happy to accept candidates across the UK and is open to hybrid working opportunities, but flexibility on travel will be essential as travel to my client site in London will be expected. My client is also keen on candidates who are open to travelling abroad to help in the growth of their overseas programmes.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and lead work plans for client engagements and be accountable for achieving defined programme outcomes.
  • Work with a range of internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels and aid in solving strategic queries
  • defining the programme strategy, setting the vision and goals for the programmes, and communicating these to key
  • stakeholders by combining strategy consulting experience, industry knowledge, tools, and technology.
  • Identify major risks and opportunities for the programme and developing responses to adjust the strategic direction of the programme.
  • Identifying new and innovative ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of programme delivery
  • Run strategic initiatives processes and identify, prioritise, and lead on bringing in new initiatives across the company
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills across all levels of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage junior resources and team members in order to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to internal practice development by participating in workshop activities supporting knowledge capture and sharing.
  • Supporting the management of the practice and successful business development by bringing in existing relationships, contributing to new business proposals, and completing sales with the client
Skills & experience
  • Experience in a strategy, transformation, and delivery focused across the public, private or financial sector.
  • Experience in leadership roles across major large-scale programmes which involve strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with managing stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions.
  • Commercial and risk awareness.
  • Mentoring, coaching, or managing others in project teams across the business.
  • Experience of developing business, structuring work and leading teams to successful outcomes, even in highly ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to think in a creative but structured manner to break down complex issues to help solve client issues.
  • Flexibility to travel.
