Software Engineering Consultant

My client is a leading engineering consultancy and they are on the lookout for a DV Cleared Software Engineer to join their team in London. They are revolutionising the way science and technology intersect and trusted by government and industrial partners globally.

As a Software Develop you’ll be at the forefront of developing new capabilities and solutions. From building and testing code to refining existing systems, your role will be pivotal in enhancing collaboration and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will be required to work onsite in London 4 days per week, and 1 day from the site in Surrey. You will also be required to join the on-call rota as this workload is distributed amongst the team in a fair way. Your rate will be adjusted to reflect this.

• Develop and monitor new capabilities to meet project requirements.
• Write, test and refine code whilst adhering to best practices.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and collaboration.
• Research, design and document applications and tools, including monitoring systems.
• Investigate and resolve issues, whilst automating engineering processes to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain client environments, handle software licensing updates, and provide support during planned outages.

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or Full Stack Developer.
• Proficiency in Python, SAS, Oracle DB, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of version control, testing methodologies, and problem-solving.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in any domain, with a passion for service-related projects.
