Our client are a leading engineering consultancy looking for a GUI software Engineer that can support the real time Electronic Warfare projects.
They are looking for a Software Engineer to design and build screens and controls to showcase live information coming from sensors and radios.
Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week on site in Southampton.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build efficient real-time desktop GUI’s that display live data
- Understand and apply new and emerging technologies.
- Handle live data from sensors, communications and processing pipelines.
- Connect C# based interfaces to C++ services and signal processing components.
- Work on our client’s Electronic Warfare suite of software, developing new features to diverse projects spanning a range of domains including Array Processing, Communications and Sensors.
- Write clean, maintainable well tested codes.
- Collaborate with multi disciplinary teams.
Skills & experience
- Expertise in C# for User Interface development and associated services.
- Expertise in C++ for services and DSP.
- Experience of unit and system testing.
- Experience of modern DevOps practices, including version control and continuous integration.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- UI for scientific / technical applications.
- WPF for User Interfaces.
- SQL databases.
- Modern comms, e.g. REST / Websockets.
- Knowledge of latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.
- An awareness of electronic warfare.
