Senior Tester
Introduction
For this role you will be required to work onsite full time in Cheltenham or Gloucester.
Our client is looking for a driven Test Analyst to identify and apply test procedures to ensure the quality of their product. You will be required to assess the functionality of both hardware and software ensuring that any flaws found are removed prior to sale of the produce.

They work on cyber technologies and software assurance projects for both the public and private sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Identifying products in the review process that need to be assessed.
- Reviewing and identifying any flaws in test data and documenting through life of the test cycle.
- Working with the software development team.
- Identify which test needs to be carried out including the test data that will be used.
- System tests and running diagnostics and reporting your findings to key stakeholders.
- Being a point of contact for development and validation teams ensuring great communications throughout.
- Identifying and removing redundant functions and components.
- Developing the knowledge of business applications and user requirements.
- Continuous Build – Not just nightly builds, but builds whenever they are needed.
- Continuous Test – Automated pipelines running countless tests without manual intervention.
- Continuous Deployment – From automated infrastructure setups to deploying complete application stacks.
Skills & experience
- A degree in computer science or IT; or an ISTQB Qualification or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience as a minimum in test analysis
- Excellent working experience with computer software and coding
- Software development experience
- Expert analytical and diagnostic skills
- Experience in programming and test techniques
- Experience documenting and writing reports on technical assessments.
