Senior Systems Engineer
Introduction
Our client is a large defence company looking for a senior systems engineer to work across the full systems engineering project lifecycle.
You will be involved with requirements, design, integration and acceptance, as well as implementing systems engineering processes.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities
- Completing Systems Engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting implementation of Systems Engineering processes.
- Requirements development.
- Systems design, integration and acceptance.
- Supporting/leading stakeholder technical reviews.
- Ensuring delivery in accordance with company standards.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering models, techniques, lifecycle planning, delivering and reporting.
- Experience of requirements development, design, integration and acceptance.
- Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering/Software/Hardware engineering.
- Systems thinking, logical approach, RCA/rectification/regression management.
- Strong technical writing skills.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Experience using requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS, Enterprise Architect or similar).
- Experience using MBSE tools and techniques such as Enterprise Architect, Bizz Design, No Magic, SysML, UML, ArchiMate, TOGAF, SOSAF, or UAF.
- Knowledge and experience of agile principles using scrum framework.
- Knowledge of marine electronic equipment and/or the marine environment.
- Familiar with military environmental standards (e.g. DEF STAN 00-35, 59-411).
- Knowledge and experience of safety critical systems (SIL 2 / 3).
- INCOSE Associate/Chartered Systems Engineering Professional.
