Senior Management Consultant – Project Controls

Our client is looking for experienced Consultants who can help clients gain control and assurance of their overall project performance by designing robust project and integrated controls functions.

This role gives the opportunity to work across several high-profile defence, infrastructure, real estate or natural resources projects, managing and driving teams to successfully deliver business transformation and controls advisory services.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver advisory services across strategy, set-up and optimisation project controls or PMOs.
  • Assess client’s current challenges to discover, deliver and implement a solution that is fit for purpose.
  • Manage the development, implementation and optimisation of PMO, integrated controls, functional set-up and optimisation and digital transformation.
  • Develop and manage the design of target operating models and organisational design.
  • Manage the delivery of workshops in a mix of virtual and face-to-face environments.
  • Deploy and tailor established methodologies, processes, tools and systems.
  • Contribute to various business generation activities such as bids, proposals, etc.
  • Contribute to the technical and behavioural development of the team through coaching and mentoring.


Skills & experience
  • Experience of working in a leading position covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls.
  • Experience within Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities or Public Sector.
  • Consultancy experience or experience working in a customer facing role.
  • Experience of delivering and managing complex business transformation programmes.
  • Experience in strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design.
  • Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments.
  • Specialist controls software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI or similar.
