Our client a leading Aerospace and Defence company looking for passionate developers to work with their Aerospace client’s existing systems.
You will have experience of embedded systems programming to design, develop, integrate and test system software to support our clients’ worldwide customer base and also internal R&D projects.
This role will be primarily remote, however you will be expected to travel to the client’s sites in the South East occasionally for meetings.

Our client a leading Aerospace and Defence company looking for passionate developers to work with their Aerospace client’s existing systems.
You will have experience of embedded systems programming to design, develop, integrate and test system software to support our clients’ worldwide customer base and also internal R&D projects.

Key responsibilities
- Lead/Mentor more junior members of the team
- Design, develop implement and test C and C++ embedded software
- Apply design techniques to enable code re-use and integration with testing frameworks
- Review and understand system design artefacts to enable the derivation of software requirements and architecture that meet the high-level system requirements
- Design, document, review and maintain the software design
- Develop and maintain knowledge of best practice development processes, language standards and tools, e.g. TDD/BDD, Continuous Integration, DevOps
Skills & experience
- Hands on software development experience Coding in Embedded Systems
- Competency with design patterns and their application to solve complex problems
- Create software design consistent with the system architecture, standards and practices
- Use process to reduce risk and improve quality
- Able to communicate software concepts and design
- Previous experience mentoring/leading/taking technical leadership
