Senior Electronic Test Engineer

Introduction

Our client manufactures Circuit Card Assemblies and they are looking for Mid-level and Senior Manufacturing Test Engineers to join their team of approx. 15 Engineers.

The size of the team gives ample opportunity for training and working with other experienced engineers for those who need the support!

You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall test lifecycle and driving continuous improvement in quality and efficiency within our client’s manufacturing business for the Defence industry.

Working Pattern: 37 hours in the daytime between Monday to Thursday, Fridays off. Full time on site.

Key responsibilities
  • Running and owning the manufacturing test lifecycle, taking responsibility for test cost and efficiency.
  • Continually improve existing test solutions through yield analysis, test time reduction, faster diagnostic process etc.
  • Drive through corrective actions to improve efficiencies and product quality.
  • Specify top level test requirements for new products and introduce them into production efficiently.
  • Technical advancement / mentorship of diagnostic technicians & engineers.
  • Provide input to design authorities for successful DFM/DFT implementation.
  • Leadership of junior members of the team if appropriate.
Skills & experience
  • Significant experience in a functional test engineering role either within a military or high reliability manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with Circuit Card Assemblies.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics over a wide range of technologies.
  • Analytical engineer who can process data efficiently to provide solutions to problems.
  • Minimum of HND/Degree in electronics related subject, preferably in Electronic Engineering.
  • Good team player who is willing to take ownership of problems and participate fully in team activities.
  • Can demonstrate contribution to specific improvements in test efficiencies.
