Introduction
Our client is a leading Consultancy who advises Defence and Government departments on the best strategic moves and investments for their businesses!
This role requires someone who has been on the front-line during the ‘decision making process’ on how large public sector organisations spend their money.
You will be expected to work closely with clients whilst you analyse cost, commercial decisions and how best to utilise technology to improve business performance.
Working Patterns - Min 1-2 days per week on site, but consultants must be happy traveling up to 4 days per week so customer sites if required.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and understand what clients want to achieve from key investment decisions.
- Define strategic business models for optimum performance of the business to ensure they achieve their objectives.
- Perform cost and commercial modelling to analyse the financial implications of different options.
- Develop scenarios and present them back to the client to ensure they have access to the best information.
- Help client determine where and how they can best cut costs.
- Advise on technological decisions and when to use technology such as AI and robotics.
- Provide evidence-based analysis to support strategic change and development.
- Manage and support junior staff in order to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support in business development and bid activities.
Skills & experience
- Experience of working within the Defence and/or National Security sector.
- Been ‘in the room’ when big strategic decisions have been made.
- Strong experience in analysis cost, commercial decisions and risk.
- Demonstrable experience of managing stakeholder relationships, ideally within a Consulting role.
