Senior Defence Project Manager

My client is a leading consultancy seeking people to join them who exemplify an ‘can do’ mind-set and want to refine their skills within a consultancy environment.

This role will be primarily based in either London or Manchester, with hybrid working options available.

Our client is also keen on Junior candidates and candidates that have completed a Graduate scheme, or are in the process of completing a Graduate scheme and have developed their consultancy skills through this. Key responsibilities

The primary focus of your role will be delivering projects, and building lasting relationships with both new and existing clients using a combination of management and technical skills to:

  • Assist with the design, development and transformation of projects within my client’s organisation (programme strategy and set up for example)
  • Build on new clients relationships and support existing client relationships for both internal and external clientele
  • Ensure all projects supported are delivered on time, towards budget and that they meet or exceed clients expectations based
  • Support progress reports, risk management reviews and financial controls in relation to the project
Skills & experience
  • Strong consultancy experience or strong Defence industry experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to present to internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working within an agile or waterfall methodology
  • Any experience working on large scale projects is desirable (Transformation or change projects)
